Discount Floor Lamps

There are so many ways to light a house, but my favorite without question is floor lamps. And when I can find discount floor lamps I'm even happier.

Thank about it. Most ways of lighting a house involve work. Track lighting, fluorescent lighting and recessed lighting all need to be installed. That means one of two things. You either need money to spend or the skills to do it right. Nothing looks worse than lighting that is installed wrong.

To be fair, ceiling lighting has a lot of advantages. It doesn't take up any floor space, there are no accidents where floor lamps get accidentally knocked down and of course, it is permanent. Plus it just lights up a room without being notices and works well for anyone who likes consistent lighting in their room.

But floor lamps are decorative pieces. A lot of people discover this by accident, especially those who may live in very old homes without and ceiling lights installed. Renovations such as this are costly so floor lamps are used out of necessity. Even more so if the house is just a rental. Why pay to renovate a house you will be leaving in a year or so anyway? Floor lamps allow you to decorate a room, and unlike table or desk lamps, they don't require a table. In many cases space just doesn't make this a feasible solution. A floor lamp meanwhile will take up some space as well, but it can just hang out in the corner of a room and very few people will even notice it is there, unless it happens to be particularly beautiful.

And you can use your discount floor lamps to get lighting effects. Tiffany floor lamps, for example, an add a nice stained-glass glow to a room. The colored panels produce a warm glow, yet to the surprise of many, the light is very neutral. That means you get both a practical and artistic use.

For a more neutral look torchiere lamps can't be beat. They are low profile, simple, yet create a tremendous amount of light. If you like a more modern look, this may be the lamp for you. The light is simply nothing more than what it needs to be. And these lamps are very inexpensive as well. So discount floor lamps can really light up a room and make it look beautiful as well.
