However understand that these lights are typically less intense. That can be great depending on the room you use them in. But if you want a brighter room, you'll need to have more lights. If your room is full of glass and metal, recessed lights will give you a great look and highlighting. Again, these lights can be used for highlighting. Put a light near the wall and shine it right down on your framed picture below. This will draw the attention in that direction.

And try to get lights that will enhance your decor, and not simply throw some light in the center of the room.
